Otro caso que le daria un dolor de cabeza a nuestro colega de la "Democracia Deliberativa" fue publicado por Los Angeles Times aqui
La parte que objetaba la maestrita era su obligacion de defender al estado "contra todos los enemigos internos y externos" alegando que iba contra su libertad de expresion y sus creencias religiosas (pertenece a la secta de los Quakeros, gente media rayada que ha llevado el igualitarismo a extremos inconcebibles. Por ejemplo en sus reuniones no existen ministros y cualquiera se levanta y empieza a hablar de lo que se le ocurra)
Aqui el juramento:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of California against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of California; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties upon which I am about to enter. "
La clausula es una rémora de la epoca de la guerra fria (fue votada en 1952 para excluir a los comunistas del empleo publico)que sigue preocupando a los rojos.
